As these models are high quality they do have a high polygon count intended for close-up views or high-quality renderings, but these should be used sparingly within scenes to avoid performance issues within SketchUp.
For optimal performance, especially in larger scenes or when using multiple instances of complex models:
Use simpler models (low-poly) for background objects.
Reserve high-poly models for the foreground or focal points where detail is crucial.
Consider employing techniques like proxies in V-Ray for SketchUp, where detailed models are represented in the SketchUp scene as simplified versions, but are fully detailed in the render.
Ultimately, the key is to balance detail and performance, tailoring the polygon count to the specific needs of your project and the capabilities of your hardware.
The FBX and OBJ files are the original high polygon count, therefore if you want to further reduce the polygons or have a higher polygon count, then you can use these files in conjunction with plugins such as Transmutr to convert the file to your preference for SketchUp
